Breaking news - 7/4/24

On June 29th, 2024, Givenchy inaugurated its summer pop-up at the Porto Cervo Waterfront on Sardinia’s Costa Smeralda, in partnership with the Nikki Beach Pop-Up Bar & Lounge. Caressed by a sea breeze, this idyllic summertime showcase is dedicated to Givenchy Plage, a collection inspired by the laid-back refinement and joie de vivre at Le Clos Fiorentina, Hubert de Givenchy's summer home in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat.

In the spirit of that enchanting estate, an assortment of playful summer essentials for women and men are presented in a setting defined by contrast, from a glossy concrete floor to walls in natural raffia with the 4G motif and golden accents. Furniture in brushed silver and aqua ceramic displays further enhance a space animated by Plage 24’-striped curtains and a fabric-draped ceiling that evokes a luxurious pool cabana.

Honoring the couturier’s beachwear legacy, Givenchy Plage captures Riviera style in bold and breezy, sensual silhouettes. Archival signatures recall Hubert de Givenchy’s passion for noble French linens, a favorite print is inspired by his lemon grove, and nautical or Provençal stripes are revisited with modern cuts. Seasonal iterations of favorite statement accessories like the Voyou bag, now imagined as a raffia basket bag with contrasting leather accents, the G-Tote shopper in soft raffia, and the iconic Marshmallow wedge complete the look.

The art of poolside dressing comes together with eye-catching swimwear in a palette of aqua green or coral, nautical stripes or leopard print discreetly embellished with the 4G emblem. Pool-to-patio coverups — in linen with sky blue stripes, in silk twill with a lemon print or in light, fluid ivory silk linen — are designed to be worn with swimwear or layered over easy summer separates.

For women, tanks, crop tops and breezy button-downs pair with flirty skirts, linen pajama pants or striped summer knits; white denims and polo shapes are instantly elevated by a bold platform mule in natural cork, and an array of sunglasses – such as this season’s butterfly frame - are embellished with a gold-finish 4G Liquid logo. After sundown, satiny, sheer and textured treatments embody glamorous evenings by the sea.

For men, Provençal linen trousers and a lemon-print shirt team effortlessly with lightweight staples in linen, Japanese seersucker, and striped organic silk, worked in sunbaked red, cool navy, sandy beige or ecru. An exclusive graphic called “Le Clos 52” - an Italianate nod to Givenchy's estate and the year he opened his couture house - emblazons a t-shirt that pairs easily with leisurewear staples that slide seamlessly from the pace of urban living to the serenity of a coastal lifestyle.

In the adjacent Nikki Beach Bar & Lounge, guests may linger over bespoke Givenchy cocktails served by staff outfitted in uniforms designed by the House and capture the moment with a selfie in a dedicated photocall area with a striped 4G logo sculpture.

Offering a memorable summer escape, the Porto Cervo pop-up will be open from June 29th to September 8th, 2024.
