合作 - 12/4/24

Pleasing and JW Anderson, both synonymous with colour, joy, excitement, and sensory experiences, unveil a special collaboration born out of a fashion-fueled friendship.

This partnership holds personal significance for both founders, Harry Styles and Jonathan Anderson, who have been longtime collaborators and supporters of one another. Together, with their respective teams, they designed the collection while keeping their communities at the forefront, creating something joyful and exciting to share with the world.

The Pleasing x JW Anderson capsule collection comprises apparel, accessories, and nail polishes, inspired by the playful and innovative aesthetic that first brought the two together. In pursuit of perfect alignment, the collection is anchored by iconic pieces from both brands, reimagined with representations of the other’s point of view.

Signature JW Anderson pieces now feature a uniquely Pleasing twist as part of the collaboration, including a Bumper Bag in an exclusive colorway and featuring both logos across the crossbody strap, glittering keyrings in purple and yellow, chrome balloon keyrings made from recycled-silicone in a vibrant green colourway, and the Bunch of Balloons Knit Cardigan.

The knit is a subtle nod to the iconic JW Anderson Patchwork Cardigan worn by Harry Styles, now displayed at the V&A and is crafted using similar techniques. Now emblazoned with a bouquet of technicolor balloons, this cardigan represents the merging of the founders’ aesthetics - embodying the playful nature of both brands.

The balloon is a recurring motif (and a JW Anderson calling card), serving as a joyful tribute to the viral cardigan, as well as the creative inspiration for the buoyant, playful design of the Bumper Bag - frequently worn by Styles. The signature Pleasing sweatshirt is also adorned with a shiny mylar balloon dotting the ‘i’.

In addition, the collaboration sees new iterations of Pleasing’s iconic nail polishes–including a special edition four-piece polish set and a fifth individual polish–allowing JW Anderson to dip their toes into the world of beauty for the first time.

Five gloriously metallic-foiled Pleasing Polish shades for keeping Pleasing x JW Anderson at your fingertips round out the collaboration offering.

“At Pleasing, we believe in the power of collaboration to create something truly special. Working with JW Anderson is something we’ve envisioned for some time—bringing together our two likeminded brands to inspire and engage our communities. This partnership is a testament to the shared values of creativity, joy, and innovation that both our brands hold dear. What makes it even more meaningful is the personal connection between Harry and Jonathan—a friendship and creative synergy that have inspired the pieces in this collection. Together, we’ve reimagined iconic designs through the lens of both brands, crafting a capsule that celebrates individuality, playfulness, and the vibrant communities that support us. We’re thrilled to introduce JW Anderson to the Pleasing community and to share this joyful collaboration with the world.” - Shaun Kearney, CEO, Pleasing

“Founded on the back of friendship and mutual respect, this is one of our most special collaborations to date. JW Anderson is a brand we feel so aligned with in terms of point of view, creativity and energy - and has been a brand we’ve wanted to collaborate with for some time. As a stylist, I’ve had the joy and privilege of working with Jonathan over the years, and of course, so has our founder, Harry, who is a big supporter and wearer of Jonathan’s work. The design process was inspiring and creative, yet considered, from the inception of each product to the packaging and visual assets. We’re excited to launch a colourful, joyous, exciting collection of products, and hope it brings our two communities as much happiness wearing it, as it brought us when creating it.” - Harry Lambert, Creative Director, Pleasing

The collection will be available from Wednesday 4th December via Pleasing.com and Jwanderson.com followed by in-store at select JW Anderson stores and at Pleasing’s New York and LA pop ups (details below) later this week, with prices ranging from £20/$20 to £850/$990.
