JW Anderson launches the Loafer Bag

JW Anderson launches its newest bag, a personal favourite of Jonathan Anderson: the Loafer bag.

The Loafer bag has already garnered attention as the only accessory presented in the brand’s previous two runway shows. Inspired by a classic penny loafer, details of the shoe are deconstructed and reconstructed in bag form.

The front of the bag features a whale-tail penny keeper detail, sewn by hand with box stitches reminiscent of the shoe itself. The base of the bag is cut to mimic the sole of a loafer. The bag’s handle is crafted to emulate the welt of the shoe.

Crafted in Italy, the Loafer bag is featured in two sizes, classic and large. The classic size is available in four colourways and two fabrications derived from the shoe itself; smooth calf leather in off-white, pecan and black, with a suede version in chocolate brown. 

The Weekender Loafer bag is featured in black leather and chocolate suede. All styles of the Loafer bag boast silver hardware, with pullers embossed with the JW Anderson logo.

The Loafer bag will be available to buy from JW Anderson Soho in London, JW Anderson in Milan, JW Anderson in Shibuya Parco, Tokyo and at jwanderson.com, available from 25th November.
