The House of Dior is delighted to continue the captivating virtuoso dialogue undertaken with Anne-Sophie Pic, through the inauguration of two new Cafés Dior, the first opening in the heart of Ginza1, Tokyo, the second in Chengdu2, China. A celebration of French inventiveness and art de vivre.
Fascinated by Christian Dior's destiny and “realm of dreams”, the world's most Michelin-starred female chef immersed herself in the Dior archives before thinking up a menu of unprecedented savory creations, reflecting the House’s identity and legacy.
From signature cannage to the couture bow, via the revolutionary New Look, the iconic Junon dress along with the Leopard motif3, Dior's codes inspire and embellish the appetizers divinely, while the main courses revolve around the theme of the oval4 – a symbol inextricably linked to the history of 30 Montaigne – sublimated by sumptuous combinations of flavors dear to Anne-Sophie Pic.
These delicious narratives also pay homage to the spirit of the legendary dishes of André Pic, her grandfather, as well as to La Cuisine cousu-main5, a precious book revealing Christian Dior's favorite dishes.
The desserts, in turn, reinterpret eternal Dior emblems, such as the Granville rose, the toile de Jouy, the button and the compass rose, all of which metamorphose into works of art that express the elegance and excellence of haute couture.
A poetic fusion of fashion and gastronomic savoir-faire, offering an enchanting, multi-sensory experience to (re)discover Dior’s heritage.
