Casa / Campagna - 5/25/22
Gucci is pleased to introduce its new Hollywood Forever eyewear collection and campaign, featuring a selection of sparkling styles inspired by the stars of yesteryear. The glamourous crystal-studded sunglasses are showcased in a new visual and video featuring singer and artist Lou Doillon.
After appearing in the campaign for the first release of Gucci eyewear’s 2022 collection, the protagonist and her travel companions continue their bus journey. A group of rock stars and eccentric artists, they are captured in scenes suggesting the miles and miles covered by musicians during their tours.
The campaign sees the diverse cast of characters wearing Gucci Hollywood Forever collection. The enigmatic and cinematic mood of the image and video make the bold design of the sunglasses stand out, perfectly representing Gucci’s vision of creativity and self-expression.
The cat-eye silhouette is reimagined with sparkling crystals which embellish the eccentric front wings and temples. Appearing in the video, the black acetate style expresses the House’s inventive approach to eyewear design. Another oversized cat-eye style worn by Lou Doillon in the campaign is adorned with star-shaped and round crystals on the grooved front profiles, while a number of enamelled Interlocking G logos add further sophistication to the temples. The same bold and lavish aesthetic characterizes an enveloping oversized squared-shape frame, crafted in mother of pearl-like acetate. On this style, also captured in the visual, a precious constellation of crystals and enamel on the front and the temples reflects Hollywood’s dazzling appeal.
