Erdem Introduces Its Debut Leather Goods Collection With The Bloom Bag

For Pre-Spring 2025, ERDEM is launching a debut bag collection. ERDEM’s hallmark language of poetic and modern femininity is for the first time brought to life in leather goods. Following the codes of the House the collection is an ode to time-honoured craft and beauty.

The bag is called The Bloom and is handmade in Italy, each bag features a striking flower-bud handle handcrafted in hammered brass with a light gold finish. The handle is inspired by the sculptural and organic shape of flowers, the intricate form is created using lost wax casting, a technique more traditionally used in the creation of fine jewellery. 

The sculptural shape of the handle’s hardware contrasts with the bag’s organic body - a tactile, unstructured silhouette in soft calfskin leather or velvet, lined in suede.

‘I am thrilled to introduce our first leather bag collection with The Bloom bag,’ Erdemn says. ‘I began by contemplating the character, gestures, and poise of the many women and muses who have inspired the narratives of all my collections, alongside a life-long fascination with the language of flowers.’

The collection comprises two sizes: The Bloom mini and The Bloom medium, for dayn and evening. The medium will be offered in khaki green and black calf-skin leather with a detachable leather strap. The mini will be offered in cream and black calfskin leather and black velvet, all with a detachable fine gold-finish chain strap.
