JUDITH LEIBER x LANVIN : a new collaboration around the minaudiere

Collaborazione / Nuovo prodotto / Casa - 11/4/21

The capsule collection debuted during Paris Fashion Week on the Lanvin runway on October 3rd, while five of the looks featured the exclusive handbags. The collection is now
available to shop at JudithLeiber.com and Lanvin.com.
The collaboration highlights two iconic brands started by strong women who shared the gift of creativity, artistry and sheer determination. These exclusive handbags illuminate the
craftsmanship and artistry that Judith Leiber is traditionally known for as well as the brilliant fashion sensibility of Jeanne Lanvin’s revered couture house.
“It was an honor and a pleasure to work with the Lanvin team,” said Jana Matheson, the Chief Creative Officer at Judith Leiber Couture. “Our brands align perfectly with a love for
craftsmanship, whimsical style, and a heritage that celebrates strong, cool women now and always.”
With the investment of love and labor by skilled experts, the collection consists of five styles. Each style was handset with more than 10,500 crystals, artfully nesting each crystal
to reflect light at every angle.
Flower Kitten Minaudiere- A nod to Armand-Albert Rateau's cat used as a handle for the house favorite LANVIN Pencil and Hobo bags. The cat is printed with the spots of a leopard represented by the sequined flowers of the SS22 collection :
Mother and Daughter Heart Minaudiere- Available in red and purple, we used trompe l’oeil to create a matelassé effect on our crystal heart bag featuring Lanvin’s signature logo.
Handset ombre crystal also creates an effect of stylish depth to our sparkling party bag and it represent the feminine universe of Lanvin integrating the historical logo of the house, the mother and daughter.
Shining Star Minaudiere- whimsical star party bag gets an extra air of whimsy with colorful ombre crystal inspired by Lanvin’s latest collection. Shades of pink, blue and silver exude a
feminine yet optically powerful look. It represents the idea of the Lanvin galaxy.
“The minaudiere is an integral part of Lanvin’s iconography. It represents the idea of evening, of wanting to get dressed to go out,” said Bruno Sialelli, creative director of Lanvin. “The minaudiere fits perfectly into the identity of Lanvin collections, with dresses and festive evening wear. They are a very beautiful and distinctive element. Judith Leiber has a particular technique in creating their minaudieres and it was a natural process to partner with them, the one true expert of this field.”
