Louis Vuitton proudly presents special capsule collections for men and women, designed in honour of the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup Barcelona sailing race. Established in 1851, the America’s Cup is the world's oldest international sporting trophy; Louis Vuitton’s sponsorship of the race began more than 40 years ago, in 1983. To honour those longstanding ties and shared values of travel, innovation and performance, Louis Vuitton this year celebrates becoming the title partner of the globally prized sporting event, now called the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup, in addition to organising the legendary qualifying stages, the Louis Vuitton Cup.

In 2024, the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup, including the Louis Vuitton Cup, will take place in Barcelona from August 29th to October 27th, with defending champion Emirates Team New Zealand racing against the winner of the Louis Vuitton Cup – battled among the USA, Switzerland, Italy, France, and the UK— around Port Vell and the beach leading to Port Olim.

To mark the occasion, Louis Vuitton introduces dedicated men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, bags and accessories that capture all the excitement and energy of the world’s premier sailing regatta. House emblems blend with bold colours and nautical codes in three themes: “Riding the Waves” for technical pieces, “A Day on the Deck” for sporty day wear, and “Elegant Summer Evening” wear. The vibrant, dynamic America’s Cup logo — the historical graphic ‘V’, a signature code developed by Gaston-Louis Vuitton,  framed by colour blocks of red, white, and navy — forms a recurring motif throughout.

Comprised of versatile pieces seamlessly blending performance and nautical elegance, the “Riding the Wave” theme is inspired by the precision of sailing. Technical “skipper” windbreakers and shorts, the iconic Keepall in a new, technical edition developed using waterproof canvas; and a water-repellent Sailor Sling in Monogram Storm convey the spirit of the race. The LV Rush women’s sneaker, designed by Nicolas Ghesquière for the Cruise 2024 collection, returns in technical mesh, rubber, and tape with colourful and reflective details. For men, three versions of the LV Barracuda sneaker have been developed, in full black, full white, or a white version featuring a red and black LV logo. Caps and sunglasses embellished with aerodynamic stripes evoke the speed and performance of world-class sailing vessels.

Reprising the striped theme in the Men’s Spring-Summer 2024 ready-to-wear collection, “A Day on the Deck” playfully revisits the House’s iconic Damier and Monogram motifs in the style and colours of maritime signal flags. Composed of refined yet relaxed pieces, this versatile theme blends nautical elegance with sporty, technical materials, for example on a reversible windbreaker with a bright red, optical white and navy motif; graphic short-sleeved shirts, swimwear, bucket hats and the LV Trainer sneaker pop with rousing colour. For women, summery essentials include "flag" statement pieces and crew necks printed with the America’s Cup insignia as well as must-have colour-blocked cargos and denim Monogram separates. The emblematic Keepall 50 and Noé bags also return in patchworked Damier Flag motifs for a splashy, summery feel. LV Seaside women’s mules with a debossed Monogram lambskin upper and the America’s Cup logo complete the look. For him, LV Oasis mules in Damier grained calf leather or the new LV Deck moccasins in technical knit bring a perfect finishing touch to a relaxed, modern silhouette. On a more casual note, the new LV Trainer style in breathable technical mesh is designed to match the colours of the collection.

After dark, dreamy, luxurious happenings by the sea call for sophisticated attire. For women, the “Elegant Summer Evening” theme offers ideal solutions for dressier occasions: long column dresses in black or white jersey crêpe feature leather or metal details and are accessorized with mini Capucines bags. For men, a sharp, double-breasted jacket finished with gold-finish LV buttons and Damier shoulder inserts pairs with a signature long-sleeved shirt, breezy flared trousers, and LV Glove or LV Pacific suede loafers.

In addition to an intricate, highly technical Monogram Waterproof construction for the Keepall 55, the Monogram Storm motif — a new addition to the Maison's accessories lineup — makes an ideal sporty-casual statement. Practical, versatile new shapes like the Sailor sling bag and the Float wearable wallet complement Louis Vuitton city bags with the America’s Cup insignia, such as the Mountain Backpack, the Christopherbackpack, and the Hamac crossbody bag in navy blue Monogram. An iconic statement bag designed especially for the Louis Vuitton 37th America's Cup Barcelona, the Keepall 50 with the Damier Flags print is not only a striking collectible — it will be an exceptional transversal piece for years to come.

Smaller accessories include the sunglasses LV Shadow with Monogram lenses and LV Wind styles. A collectible, graphic America’s Cup square, a nautical tie or bandeau, baseball caps and reversible Monogram bucket hats, as well as a charming blue whale pouch or a life buoy tag, round out the Louis Vuitton 37thAmerica’s Cup Barcelona offer.

The Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup Barcelona capsule collections will be available in-store and online starting on July 18th, 2024.
