Road, a journey of discovery and cultural fusion that has inspired artisans for centuries. is year also marks the 700th anniversary of Marco Polo's death, adding historical significance to the collection.

A Visionary Collaboration
Cabana’s October Issue will be dedicated to the Silk Road. To bring this vision to life, Martina Mondadori, the creative force behind Cabana Magazine, thought immediately of Gabriella Cortese, the founder of Antik Batik and a true connoisseur of the Silk Road’s storied past. Both being Italian, their shared cultural background enhances the synergy of this collaboration. Gabriella's deep-rooted passion for travel and tradition makes her the perfect partner to interpret the opulence and mystique of this ancient trade route.

Inspired by the Silk Road
During her latest trip to India, Gabriella Cortese meticulously craed six exquisite pieces that form the heart of this collection. Each item is a testament to her expertise in blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design. Rich in color and texture, the collection features intricate embroidery and vibrant patterns that evoke the spirit of the Silk Road.

The collection will be composed by 6 pieces so divided :
1. A sophisticated print will exist in both a blouse and a long dress, both crafted from hand-printed cotton. e intricate patterns and delicate fabric evoke a sense of timeless elegance.
2. An Afghan-inspired vest adorned with bold cashmere designs – Antik Batik’s signature. is piece is a vibrant celebration of traditional craftsmanship, blending rich textures and vivid motifs.
3. A coat and a vest, both made from luxurious wool and embellished with tonal embroidery. The subtle yet intricate stitching adds depth and refinement to these versatile pieces.
4. A fully hand-embroidered gilet, adorned with tiny crystals inspired by Byzantine times. is piece captures the opulence and intricate artistry of the Byzantine era, making it a true statement of elegance.
