A Lunar New Year of transformation with BIRKENSTOCK 1774

In honour of the Lunar New Year, BIRKENSTOCK 1774 announces a new collection to ring in the Year of the Snake. A powerful symbol intraditional Chinese culture, the snake is thought to embody of wisdom, elegance and transformation, kindred values shared with 1774’s design ethos coming together to inaugurate a New Year of joy and prosperity.

The series unveils new variations of three classic shapes reimagined for the occasion: Arizona and Florida are redesigned in deluxe Italian leather with all-over python embossing, while Tokio is revisited in contrasting combinations of soft suede with python-embossed leather details, all lined in soft nappa leather. 

The collection’s colours accentuate the vibrant patterns of the snake in beige and red with BIRKENSTOCK’s signature anatomically shaped footbed covered in black leather, andeach pair is adorned with 1774’s distinctive buckles in gold or silver finishes.

This exclusive capsule elaborates on 1774’s reputation for the finest quality and craftsmanship to update classic BIRKENSTOCK styles, further elevating its creative and artisanal heritage. Made in our German workshop, custom materials, finishes and details are thoughtfully applied to each silhouette to create new and essential icons.

The 1774 Lunar New Year Collection will launch on December 5, 2024, and will be available at 1774.com and at select retailers worldwide.
