Campaign - 7/25/23

This campaign celebrates everything I love about Versace: The power, the tailoring, the attitude. I love the black and white images that really showcase the iconic silhouette of the season, and the color pictures that bring the collection to life in the heart of Milan. On set I loved that the models felt strong, empowered, and fierce—exactly how you should feel when you wear Versace.” — Donatella Versace

Versace presents its Fall-Winter 2023 image and video campaign. The image series from photographers Mert & Marcus includes black and white studio shots which put emphasis on the collection’s immediately Versace use of silhouette and cut, and images taken at Versace’s classical palazzo at Via Gesù 12 in Milan. Starring in the campaign are both new and established Versace faces, each fearless and confident in expressing every part of who they are through the collection clothes.

COLLECTION

The Fall-Winter 2023 collection continues and builds-upon the House’s identity within tailoring, most evidently in the sharp-shouldered tailored jacket of the fashion show’s opening look. This severe shoulder line has recurred throughout Versace collections and is evident of the artistry and craftsmanship of the Versace Atelier being applied into the ready-to-wear.

Codes of the House recur throughout. The emblematic Medusa features as silver buttons on deep black tailored jackets and as Medusa ’95 hardware—a new take on the House Medusa from 1995 that features a central round emblem between two semi-circles, and appears on dresses, skirts, and the waist band of exquisitely tailored denim.

Men’s tailoring is equally focused on cut, material, and silhouette, with pinched waist finishes and alternate fits between a broad shoulder and a softer, rounded shoulder that maintains the strength inherent in Versace tailoring.
