Off-WhiteTM and Wilson Sporting Goods Co. team up on the official drop of their first collaboration. The limited-edition Off-WhiteTM c/o Wilson® basketballs were originally revealed this past February during Paris Fashion Week at Off-WhiteTM’s F/W 2024 show, where the brand debuted the collaborative designs inside metal mesh totes reminiscent of basketball nets, alongside basketball- inspired shoes.
Deeply linked to the brand's DNA, the collaboration respects Off-WhiteTM founder Virgil Abloh’s passion for basketball as well as the brand’s fundamental ties to sport. With Wilson, Off-WhiteTM further evolves this heritage, merging its culture-shifting perspective with the sporting goods company’s long-standing reputation for manufacturing premium gear.
The two inaugural Off-WhiteTM c/o Wilson basketballs express this meeting of expertise in equal measure. One is a classic look, a traditional Wilson basketball designed with the brands’ respective logos, while the second — an exclusive edition of the Wilson Airless Gen1 — serves up a futuristic look at the game.
A radical innovation, the Wilson Airless Gen1 takes its shape from a 3D-printed polymer lattice structure rather than inflation. Yet, it nearly retains the character of a regulation basketball in terms of weight, size and rebound thanks to eight panel-like lobes and a familiar seam structure, with hexagonal holes across the surface allowing air to pass through freely. Its black monochrome style is equally subversive.
Off-WhiteTM c/o Wilson basketball is available from July 30th at select Off-WhiteTM stores, as well as online at off---white.com and www.wilson.com.
The Off-WhiteTM c/o Wilson Airless Gen1 will drop later this year.
