Campaign - 1/8/25
For the Dior spring-summer 2025 ready-to-wear collection, Maria Grazia Chiuri explores the figure of the Amazon, whose combative and powerful aura is conveyed through silhouettes conceived to accompany the body in movement. Imbued with strength and sensitivity, audacity and refinement, this reinterpretation has been set in images by artist Sarah Jones, in a wonderfully dreamlike country setting.
Initiating a fascinating dialogue between nature and Paris, the decors echo the unique style of the capital's gardens, while the sky – in a palette of blues evoking at once dawn and dusk – seems to freeze the moment in the present. These tableaux with their surrealist undertone unveil boldly modern looks where couture and technicality merge.
Combining sophistication and functionality, the bodysuits are adorned in turn with asymmetrical cut-outs or stripes, embodying a revisited lexicon of sport. This impulse can be seen in tracksuit bottoms embellished with the Dior Graphique logo – stretching the letters “D, I, O, R” to the extreme.
A tribute to Christian Dior's passion for the art of construction, certain outfits borrow from the men's suit, such as a jacket inspired by the lines of the Abandon dress – thought up by the founding-couturier for autumn-winter 1948-1949 – worn with pants that feature virtuoso work on volume and drape.
Prolonging the reflection, accessories also illustrate this athletic neo-poetry, like the D-Journey – a supple bag to carry close to the body for a free and assertive allure, available in small, medium and large – or the Signature Bucket distinguished by its incomparable practicality. Playing with traditional codes, the cleverly hybrid shoes – including the Optical-D thong sandals and the GetDior sneakers – revealed in a high-top version, create the attitude of a contemporary Amazon, triumphant, elegant and irresistibly Dior.
