Campaign - 4/11/23

Lanvin is pleased to announce a new series of ‘Character Studies’, the campaign that launched this past autumn with a cast of female protagonists and which now introduces a second cast of male protagonists, Lanvin’s modern heroes, across intimate portraits and films. From its inception, ‘Character Studies’ was meant to illustrate le chic ultime, a guiding phrase and concept coined by the house’s founder that translates to the ultimate chic.

This second chapter focuses on the newly imagined Lanvin man, expressing his innate qualities alongside the house’s core values of independence, sensuality, curiosity, and discretion. The pioneering spirit of Jeanne Lanvin, one of the first designers to contextualize men’s and women’s fashion in a single universe, is reprised in the house today and emphasized in the unifying vision of the campaign. ‘Character Studies’ was photographed by Steven Meisel with creative direction by M/M Paris. Quintin van Konkelenberg, Alberth Johnson, Gendai Funato, and Job join Raquel Zimmermann who returns after a prominent role in the first chapter. The campaign will be executed globally as of early April 2023 across print, digital, social media, and out-of-home channels.
