On April 11th, 2022, CHANEL reopens its seasonal boutique on the idyllic island of Capri, just a short stroll from the picturesque shopping destination of via Camerelle.
`This year, clients will discover a new design evoking the elegance and inviting nature of a modern, Mediterranean villa. The entrance to the boutique is via the sun-drenched terracotta-hued stone terrace, which is animated with fresh white Bougainvillea and outdoor furniture that establishes the convivial mood. Here, an eye-catching window showcases the latest CHANEL creations. In the relaxed tradition of a summer home, the sandy-toned terrazzo flooring extends from the outside through to the interiors, luminous in a palette of beige rosé and camel, contrasting with the graphic black ceramic tiles.
The boutique layout centres around a long and deep-set sofa crafted from stone and furnished with plush suede camel cushions, which doubles as a display console on which an array of curated books and objects, along with seasonal products, are highlighted. The sofa’s bespoke design and ample shape take inspiration from Gabrielle Chanel’s iconic sofa in her apartment on rue Cambon, in Paris.
The latest CHANEL collections and creations are housed within graphic display alcoves, outlined by minimalist white frames. As clients make their way through the boutique, they will discover the Spring-Summer 2022 Ready-to-Wear collection, a tribute to the carefree and confident allure of the 1990s, and coming later in the season, the 2021/22 Métiers d’art collection, which celebrates the virtuosity of CHANEL’s privileged artisan partners. Also present will be the CHANEL COCO BEACH 2022 collection, which is available exclusively in a few CHANEL boutiques worldwide and the Fall-Winter 2022/23 pre-collection. Highlighted on one side, is a range of shoes and handbags, including the CHANEL 22 bag – available in joyous summer shades – and a dedicated eyewear display.
From CHANEL Beauty, is Les Eaux de CHANEL, the fragrance line that proposes an imaginary olfactory journey. This year, the collection presents the new perfume from LES EAUX DE CHANEL collection, PARIS-PARIS, a sparkling floral composition with scents of the spicy and fresh Damascena rose and patchouli, alongside some of the House’s most famous fragrance like N°5 or COCO MADEMOISELLE.
