Campaign - 3/19/25

On March 18, 2025, Balenciaga unveils its Summer 25 Campaign, lensed by photographer Nadia Lee Cohen, reimagining classical Hollywood costume tests. Through a series of portraits and videos, the cast is transformed into cinematic tropes and archetypes—exploring the intersection of clothing, identity, and performance.

Set against a monochrome curtained backdrop reminiscent of Old Hollywood screen tests, the campaign emphasizes the role that dress, styling, and mise-en-scène play in defining characters, with the videos’ voiceover detailing their traits and attire in the same tone and cadence as archival screen test narration.

The cast includes actors Kyle MacLachlan, Linda Honeyman, Sunnyi Melles, Mark Eydelshteyn, Rachel Sennott, Zhou You, and Georgia Ford, alongside artist Coumba Samba and models Sun, Raiki, Queen and Leona. They personify figures such as The Socialite, The Femme Fatale, The Artist, The Diva, The Girl Next Door, The Villain, The Reporter, The Prodigy, The Main Character, and The Boy Next Door—with Linda Honeyman appearing as herself.

Complementary still-life images showcase the Laurel Classic Polo and new variations of the Rodeo Bag in mineral green, grey and almond, alongside the recently debuted Rodeo Sling Pochette. Also featured are key footwear styles, including the Basketball Sneaker and heeled sandals and clogs from the House’s collaboration with Scholl.
