Fashion house - 11/8/21
The multiform universe of the Maison is composed of infinite constellations. They are the clothes of past collections. Ever-changing, in constant motion, yet almost eternal. Valentino Vintage is the first journey through these collections, now recognized, redefined, reinterpreted.
Valentino Vintage starts from a graphic design, a logo that encompasses all the Valentino logos and, with them, the stories of the garments that bear them on their label. Sometimes they were intertwined, other times they quickly vanished without a trace. But each comes from the same initial explosion that determined its existence and to which it’s now reconnected, It is a line that becomes a circle, a sign that is itself a different, cohesive, and conscious approach.
A feeling of infinite possibilities emerges. Of clothes that passed from hand to hand. Hands that look alike, familiar witnesses of the passing of time, hands that shake to conclude an agreement between strangers who are close for just a moment, hands that with a click start a thread that ends in a different part of the world.
Online and offline, the movements are fluid and elusive. Now, however, Valentino resumes from selected Vintage Stores around the world, places that celebrate creative, transformative, authentic individuality. Walls and shelves preserve stories of garments that have already passed from hand to hand, click by click. Local yet global, their identities are defined through the traits and gestures of those who have crossed the threshold, even if only for an instant.
These are the places from which Valentino Vintage departs and returns, in a circularity that begins and never ends.
VALENTINO VINTAGE / GUIDELINES
The Valentino Vintage project unfolds in two phases.
Phase 1
From October 27th a page on the Valentino.com website will be activated providing all the information necessary to give a second life to the Valentino garments. By connecting to the site, you can access the contact page of the Vintage Stores participating in this initiative and request an appraisal of your Valentino garment. If the appraisal is positive and you want to give a new life to your garment, you will receive a credit to spend in specific Valentino boutiques.
Here below the list of the selected Vintage Stores and the corresponding Valentino boutiques:
• Madame Pauline Vintage - Foro Buonaparte 74, Milan
Valentino Milano Montenapoleone - Via Monte Napoleone 20, Milan
• New York Vintage Inc - 117 West 25th Street, New York NY
Valentino Soho New York - 135 Spring Street, New York NY
• Resurrection - 8006 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles
Valentino Beverly Hills - 324 North Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, Los Angeles
• LAILA Tokio - 1-5-11-2F Shibuya Shibuya-ku Tokyo 150-0002
Valentino Ometesando – Tokyo Shinuya-ku 4-12-10 Jingumae, Omotesando Hills, Main BLDG, 1F/2F, Tokyo
How it works:
• The customer can present their garment directly to the Vintage Store of their choosing.
• To activate the digital appraisal of their garment by the Vintage Store, the customer must send a photo.
• If the garment is appraised positively by the Vintage Store, the latter will send an email to the client inviting them to set up an appointment offering a price range for the garment. In this way, the client will be able to freely choose whether to make an appointment with the Vintage Store and give in their garment at that time.
• The client will then go to the appointment at the Vintage Store where the definitive appraisal will be made and, if the client accepts the valuation, in return for giving in the garment, they will receive a credit with the amount determined by the Vintage Store.
• The credit will be a voucher that the client will be able to spend in the Valentino boutique associated with the selected Vintage Store.
Phase 2
Starting in January 2022 the Vintage Stores will begin selling a selection of Valentino Vintage. The details relative to phase 2 will be specified closer to the date.
