Named after BIRKENSTOCK’s historical roots, 1774 is an exclusive line and showcase of creative collaborations, uniting the footwear expert’s supreme quality and storied craftsmanship with like-minded brands who share a mutual passion for design and process. Each pair is made in our German workshops from specially sourced materials, a high content of which is derived from natural resources, using cutting-edge innovation and manufacturing techniques, before being rigorously tested to ensure the best quality possible. Built upon BIRKENSTOCK’s design legacy, each creative collaboration starts with the signature moulded footbed and is made entirely at specialist factories, reimagined through an artistic lens in custom palettes, fabrics and finishes which embody each designer’s DNA. Located in Paris, 1774’s showroom and headquarters serves as a hub to connect with global creative talent and push the boundaries of a true heritage icon.
