KENZO X ASICS

KENZO X ASICS KENZO BY NIGO IS COLLABORATING WITH JAPANESE RUNNING BRAND ASICS KENZO is unveiling its first sneakers collaboration with Japanese brand ASICS designed by Artistic Director Nigo. Launching in early January 2024. 

Three gender neutral KENZO x ASICS styles will combine the colorful heritage of KENZO and the technical expertise of ASICS. Originally launched in 2013, the ASICS GEL-KAYANO 20 is a cushioned running sneaker that provides comfort and stability over long distances. This breathable, resilient shoe is being relaunched by KENZO, further emphasizing the legitimacy of the brand in the sneaker market. 

$A system of a two-layer midsole and outsole that features EVA, TPU, GEL technology and rubber guarantees optimal dampening for the foot, whether on the running track or on the city street. Design-wise, on two styles the functional cage of the GEL-KAYANO 20 is inspired by KENZO’s tiger graphics, both with faux-fur applied on the all-upper surface. 
One style is declined in an array of blue, lime green and orange. Another style is reminiscent of the sober silver, gold and white colorway of the original GEL-Kayano shoe. The third and last style showcases fresh, vivid colors such as blue, green, pink, yellow and orange, all contrasted by sporty white. In all iterations, the ASICS label appears on the right tongue of the pair, while the KENZO logo is featured on the left one. Co-branded special packaging rounds out the visual offer.
